    My comment was probably a little harsh but a 40-minute set that didn’t include the two songs everyone was shouting for (“Andrew Ridgeley” and “Uptown Top Ranking”), followed by two short one-song encores, doesn’t really count as much of a gig. They just motored through it, and it didn’t feel like they were particularly glad to be there. The sound wasn’t up to much, either, putting BBR’s main attributes (Sarah Nixey’s ice-cold voice and the acerbic lyrics) too far down in the mix, and it was only on the very last song (“May Queen”, an acoustic number with a saw) that it all came right.
