Gold disc of New Order’s ‘Republic’ album, stomach found in jumble shop across street
Oh my… Where is that? Did you pick it up? How much was it?
ahhhhhh!
Junk shop on the top of Brampton Grove, NW4. Cost was 40 quid or so. That was *just* a bit too much for me, and the pic was taken a week or two ago, so it’s probably still there. I was sorely tempted, though – it’s a fab album and I’m a big NO fan.
Oh that’s just, wow.
Yoz – i will give you the cash if you buy it for me…
Yoz – big New Order fan also…pick it up for me and I’ll pay double to you, and shipping too, if you can part with it.
Sorry, Chris… already picked it up for Mr Jones!
(If it’s any consolation, it’s not, like *the* gold disc, presented to New Order – it was presented to someone else whose name I don’t recognise. I’ll look at it again when I get home)
Thanks….cool site, by the way…glad I found it.
And I’m glad you like it (even if we can’t regularly meet your New Order goodie requirements) 🙂
And, for reasons somewhat beyond me, I feel compelled to explain that while I *am* a big New Order fan (honest) and “Republic” is a great album, I got the feeling that the gold disc was one of those things that was just going to become more of the clutter that I’ve spent ages recently trying to get rid of.
Besides, it’d clash with the mounted platinum DVD of “The Getaway”.
Yoz…Now that you mention it…I would probably end up trying to find a place for it myself.
Congratulations, Matt! If you ever find you can only hang it in your garage, please contact me first!
